Why Borderless
Built from personal experience, not a sales pitch.
If you would have told me 10 years ago that I would start a company helping people travel to Mexico for dental care, I would have said you were crazy. But life has a way of changing your plans.
The story really starts in 2017. My wife, Tracy, was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. For the next nine months, we took things one day at a time. Family, friends, and complete strangers stepped up in ways I will never forget. They brought meals, helped with our boys, and even helped us get to Boulder, Colorado, for one last treatment we hoped would change everything. It did not. Tracy passed away in 2018.
The next year I made the decision to retire so I could raise our two boys, who were 10 and 11 at the time. Looking back, I am pretty sure I earned a PhD in school drop offs, grocery shopping, and pretending I knew what I was doing. They are now young adults and attending college.
Without dental insurance, I eventually needed quite a bit of dental work myself. Years of grinding my teeth had finally caught up with me. In 2021, I researched every option I could find and decided to go to Mexico because I wanted the best value for my money. I was nervous. I did not know who to trust, whether the reviews were real, or what the experience would actually be like.
What I found was modern technology, professional care, and an experience that changed the way I looked at dental travel. I have since returned for care and brought my boys for cleanings and fillings. But I never forgot how overwhelming that first trip felt or how much I wished there had been someone to help me through the entire process.
That is why I started Borderless. I want to be the kind of help I wish I had. Someone who can answer questions, connect you with a carefully vetted clinic, coordinate the moving pieces, and make the experience feel less overwhelming. No judgment. Just honest guidance from someone who has been there.

Is Borderless a dental clinic?+
No. Borderless is an independent travel coordination and support service. Dental recommendations, diagnosis, and treatment decisions come directly from licensed dental professionals.
Can you tell me what treatment I need?+
No. We are not dentists and do not diagnose or recommend treatment. We can help you share records and information with a clinic so its dental team can evaluate your situation.
Do I have to be ready to book a trip?+
Not at all. The first step is simply a conversation. You can ask questions, learn how the process works, and decide whether dental travel feels right for you.
Where does Borderless coordinate care?+
Our current focus is helping clients explore care with vetted clinic connections in Cancún and Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
